Camping at Fossil Creek

So Keith and I went camping last weekend and it was a blast but so hard! Fossil Creek is an 8 mile hike down a canyon near Strawberry. It's 4 miles in and 4 miles back out. I most definitely have decided next time I need to be more physically prepared.

We had a pretty fun group come with us which included Bethany, Blake, Adam, Laurie, SueB, Keith and me. Sue and I have decided that we need to hike more often so we can have Superman legs and Supermodel butts! Oh my goodness though, I was so extremely sore the next morning. I could hardly walk I was so stiff! That was not good timing seeing as how Keith and I had to speak in church that day. But I still think I'd do it again. Here's a few of my favorite pictures from the trip:

Here's my proof, I hiked with a backpack!

Here's Keith and I on our way out. I think this was one of the prettiest spots.

Me and SueB.

I love camping! And we plan on going again this summer. Yay! So I posted more of our pics on facebook if you'd like to see more.

Diaper Cakes

So Amy makes it look easy but apparently diaper cakes are harder to make than one would think. Or at least I thought so anyway. I ended up googling it and found a video of instructions on youtube. But in the end I think it turned out pretty well. Keith even helped. He made lil rose buds out of the socks and baby washcloths. I was so proud. And everyone at the shower loved it! Here's my finished product. Not too bad for my first time. =)

Hair-cut night @ the Jones

It's time for hair-cuts at the Jones! (And please before you scroll down to view the photos, disregard the background/mess that is shown in them. It's really not there....Really... Ever!)

So here's the pre-grooming/before:

And after. Ta-daaa!

And now it's Cody's turn. Poor lil' lamb. I really enjoy cutting their hair for the main reason of getting to play with it and style it before cutting as you can see below. Sometimes tho my subjects aren't quite down with the photoshoot. :-/

Here's before the wetdown:
And one of the many styles he received... =)
And after:

Aren't they such handsome boys?

Tree Pruning Time

So Saturday Keith and I had the opportunity to prune the apple tree over at mom and dads house. It was my very first pruning experience and I rather enjoyed it. I did not however enjoy my experience with the pruning shears, as I received several blood blisters by the nasty lil' things! Voici, I have proof!

Here's before I dissected my thumb:

And here's after:

And... Here's the remains:

It was quite educational. And the best thing about it~ I only got woozy and light headed a couple times! I think I'm getting better with blood and icky things. Yay! =)

Halloween

Ok, so I realize that I'm a week late on posting these but I just wanted to show you all how cute we were at work on Halloween. It was a lot of fune and I thought we did really well on our costumes for how much was spent on them.

Here's the whole group (minus the gal who didn't dress up with us).

And here is a picture of my buddy Sarah. We've got the 'touched by an angel' effect going on here.

Aren't we cute?

Company

It's official, Gina has moved in... Well for the next 3 weeks anyway until she gets married on the 24th. She's only been here for 2 days and it seems things have already gotten to another level of crazy. But I love it! She's so much fun and also, like me is a "at the last minute" kind of person thus there's loads to do until the big day. Hopefully we can manage to squeeze everything in.

Friday, Holly and Ryan will come for their open house on Saturday.

Brandon, Gina's fiance should be arriving at our house sometime around then too.

Then on the 24th, my cousin Clay will be staying with us for 5 days or so.

Hopefully this will prove the old adage of 'company being a lot like fish,' false. But we'll see! =)
